Crunchy chickpea patties (vegan)

These are my favorite meatless patties I cook regularly. Easy and flavorful.

2 cups chickpeas soaked overnight
1 small onion
1-2 cloves of garlic
salt to taste
½ teaspoon coriander
⅓ cup sesame seeds
vegetable oil for frying

smoked paprika
any seasoning for meat (you can make it work with coriander)
a splash of soy sauce

1. Blend all the ingredients except sesame seeds. The texture should be soft enough to stick well together. If the mass is not sticky, add some starch or wheat flour.

2. Form the patties and bread them in sesame seeds. Fry over medium heat and cover the pan with a lid while frying.

3. Cook the patties until the sesame seeds are golden brown.

I serve the chickpea patties with an easy peanut butter dipping sauce. Mix 3 tablespoons of peanut butter + 1 tablespoon of soy sauce + some lemon juice. Use water to achieve the desired consistency.
